MINTANA AMMONS
Mintana Ammons, 88, died Friday, July 2, 2010 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce, Florida.
She was born in Geneva County, Alabama and was a resident of Fort Pierce since 1970.
Mintana was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for over 40 years, was an avid walker, enjoyed gardening, feeding her birds and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Frances Copeland of Williamston, NC, Betty (Frank) Abram of Dickson, TN and Susan (Jerald) Rowe of Ft. Pierce, FL; sons, Bill (Margaret) Ammons of Tulsa, OK and Ray (Chris) Ammons of Port St. Lucie, FL; sister, Geraldine Whittle of Dothan, AL, ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, William R. Ammons, Sr.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 7th from 5 to 8 PM at Haisley Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Thursday, July 8th at 10:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Kenneth Norman.
