Mitchel Ernest Grugel, 59, died December 6, 2011 in Port St. Lucie, FL.
Mr. Grugel was born in Battle Creek, Michigan and moved to St. Lucie County in 1967 coming from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Mitchel worked for Bell South for 30 years, and was Past President of the Bell South Pioneers. He was of the Baptist faith and loved the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Donna K. Grugel of Okeechobee, FL; mother, Barbara Carter of Port St. Lucie, FL; sister, Patty Evans of Stuart, FL; children, Lori Jacquin of Ft. Pierce, FL, Shannon Gagliardi of Okeechobee, FL, Karla Brazil of Okeechobee, FL and Karl Grugel of Okeechobee, FL; 4 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Karl Grugel, and sisters, Karla Shortz and Kim Lake.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Boys & Girls Club, 607 N. 7th Street, Suite 1, Fort Pierce, FL 34950.
Services: A gathering will be held at the family’s residence, 552 SE Eyerly Avenue, Port St. Lucie, FL on Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 2-4 PM.
