Monroe M. Harris

Monroe M. Harris, 89, died June 14, 2013 in Vero Beach, Florida.

Monroe was born in Marianna, Florida, and was a resident of Fort Pierce for the past 62 years, coming from Marianna, FL.

He was a veteran of the US Army and retired after 30 years from Florida East Coast Railroad.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Cecile Harris of Fort Pierce, FL; daughters, Becky Harris Barnes of Fort Pierce, Tonie Harris of CT, Julie Harris of Tampa, FL, Michelle Harris Ledlow of Vero Beach, FL and Amanda Hansen Overstreet of Ft. Pierce, FL; sons, James Monroe Harris of Panama City, FL and Michael Harris of Fort Pierce, FL; grandchildren: Dane Williams, Krista Ledlow, Chance Kenyon, Dominic Gasmi and Gabrielle Gasmi and great-grandchildren: Ava Overstreet, Kashlynn Stalker and Kaiden Stalker. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Ann Harris.
