Myrlene was born in Cairo, Georgia, and was a resident of Fort Pierce since 1958, coming from Homestead, Florida.
She was a member of Community United Methodist Church, owner of Brackhil Crafts in Fort Pierce for 15 years, Past President of Hibiscus Garden Circle, a member of the Embroidery Guild and former Chair of Heathcote Botanical Gardens of Fort Pierce.

Survivors include her daughters, Pat (Winky) Davis of Port St. Lucie, FL, Pam (Lynn) Nelson and Debby Tedder both of Fort Pierce, FL; granddaughter, Lara Panico, grandsons, Paul Davis, Robbie Tedder and Ryan Nelson all of Fort Pierce, FL and Patrick Davis of Calhan, CO; 12 great-grandchildren and sister, Jean Elkins of Cairo, GA. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Rivers and son-in-law, Bill Tedder.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM followed by a Service at 3:00 PM at the Haisley Chapel. Inurnment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
