Nancy Anita Okal, age 75, of Fort Pierce, Florida passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, Florida.
Nancy was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 4, 1943. She attended both St. Pascal Catholic School and graduated from Resurrection Girls High School in Park Ridge, Illinois.
Following graduation, Nancy was employed by Armstrong Cork Company and then Metropolitan Insurance Company both in Chicago.
In 1972, Nancy and her husband, Bob, moved to Fort Pierce, Florida where they owned and operated the South Beach Apartments on South A1A in Fort Pierce.
After they sold apartments, Nancy was employed by the St. Lucie County Clerk’s Office as a Deputy Clerk; retiring as a supervisor in 2009 after 33 years.
Nancy and her husband, Bob, were married for 54 years. They enjoyed cooking, traveling, and entertaining friends. Nancy was known by friends as a terrific cook. Nancy was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Olga and Steven Sikorcin and sister Jacquelyn Sikorcin all from Fort Pierce.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. in the Haisley Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Pierce. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 21, 2018 at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, 407 S. 33rd Street, Fort Pierce. Interment will follow at White City Cemetery.
