Nelson Leroy Taylor, Sr.

Nelson Leroy Taylor, Sr., 84, died July 6, 2008 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.Mr. Taylor was born in Orlando, Florida and moved to Fort Pierce in 1947 coming from Orlando.He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years of dedicated service. He was an avid fisherman and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and Korea. He was a lifelong Episcopalian, attended both Holy Faith and St. Andrews Episcopal Churches.Survivors include his daughter, Nancy (Richard) Taylor Stabile of Port St. Lucie, FL; son, Nelson L. Taylor, Jr. of Van Nuys, CA; 3 grandchildren, William David Hays of Seminole, FL, Michael Nelson Hays of Sarasota, FL, and Emma C. Taylor of Van Nuys, CA; brother, James F. Taylor of Wilmington, NC; nephew, Henry Taylor of Cocoa Beach, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Taylor.Services: A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 1:00 PM at St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
