Neville Pinnock

With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of Neville Livingston Pinnock, a man whose life epitomized unwavering strength, boundless love, and relentless dedication. Born on March 10, 1950, in St. Andrew, Jamaica, to the late Ignatius Pinnock and Myrtle Scott, Neville’s journey from humble beginnings to a life of significance and legacy is a celebration of resilience and purpose. 

Neville spent his early years in vibrant St. Andrew, instilling in him the values of hard work and community. He lived by the guiding principle: "Every man should eat by the sweat of his brow," a testament to his determination and work ethic. 

In his early adulthood, Neville ventured from Jamaica to the Bronx, New York, where he forged a life steeped in love and labor. As a master mason, he infused his passion into his craft, contributing to monumental projects such as Yankee Stadium and the World Trade Center. These achievements reflect not just skilled workmanship but a lasting legacy of commitment. 

While his professional accomplishments were remarkable, Neville’s true joy came from life's simple pleasures. He built a cherished family, embracing his roles as a devoted father to Howard Pinnock, Terrence Pinnock, and Nicole Vernon, and later as a loving grandfather to Jada Pinnock, Marcus Pinnock, Amber Pinnock, Sylvia Pinnock, and Nathaniel Pinnock, who illuminated his days. 

Neville found peace and reflection in his retirement in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He shared his later years with Lisa Matherson, whose companionship enriched his life, alongside close friends Martin Sadler, Joe and Tony, whose enduring brotherhood offered strength and support. 

Filled with warmth, laughter, and tradition, Neville delighted in preparing mouthwatering Jamaican dishes, playing old-school Reggae music, and gathering to play Ludi, Dominoe, and Draughts board games with family, creating moments of connection that will resonate forever. His steadfast strength served as the family cornerstone, inspiring all who knew him. 

Neville passed away on November 17, 2024, at his home in Port St. Lucie, surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his strong, beautiful and loving sister, Violet Brown; his children, Howard, Terrence, and Nicole; his grandchildren; his daughter-in-law, Ebony Pinnock; his nieces, Janet Drinkwater and Maureen Lawrence Hawthorne; and a host of extended family and friends. 

 Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, Visiting hours will be from 10AM to 12PM with the service starting at 12PM at Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34984. Burial will follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery. 

Neville’s life is a testament to the values of hard work, love, and family. His legacy endures through the countless lives he touched, and his memory will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
