Nolan was a Vietnam Veteran.  He loved hunting, fishing, ranching, and air boating.

He is survived by Nolan Stripling II of Lawtey, FL, Tyleia Norman of Okeechobee, FL, Jonathon Stripling of Okeechobee, FL, Wendy Smith of Coffeyville, KS, Kristen Bullard of Stewart, FL and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Stripling.
