Norma G. Rabe, 94, of Ft. Pierce, Florida, passed away Sunday morning, December 17, 2017, at the Lake Forest Park Senior Living, Ft. Pierce.
She was born May 1, 1923, in Freeborn, Minnesota, the daughter of the late Burdette and Marie (Johnson) Gardner. She was a long time resident of Juno Beach, moving to Ft. Pierce in 2002.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an administrative assistant for the Palm Beach County School System, mostly with the North Tech Vocational School.
Mrs. Rabe was a member of the Oceanview Methodist Church of Juno Beach, where she was active in the daily life of the church as well as the Women's Club and the choir. She was also a member of the North County Chorale Society and enjoyed walking the Juno Beach shore in search of treasures and sea glass, followed by a big bowl of heavenly hash ice cream.
Norma is survived by her daughters, Diane R. Flanigen and Kathy J. Zwingelberg, both of Port St. Lucie; grandchildren, Roy D. Lowe of Port St. Lucie, Eddie L. Flanigen of Calhoun, LA, Tommy W. Rabe of Houston, TX, Shelly Prestridge of Port St. Lucie and Toby D. Thomas of Houston, TX; great grandchildren, Chelsea D. Prestridge of Port St. Lucie, Amanda B. Lowe of Ft. Pierce, Noah Matthews and Justin C. Prestridge both of Port St. Lucie and John Lawson Flanigen of Calhoun, LA. She was predeceased by brothers, Mervin L. Gardner and Alfred L. Gardner and a sister, Ila Gimberline.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00am with a service to follow at Haisley Tribute Center, Port Saint Lucie, Florida. A reception will be held after the service.
