Norman C. Hayslip, 88, died on September 28, 2004 in Georgia. He was born in Sarasota, FL and came to Fort Pierce in 1950 from Belleglade, FL.
He was a member of Westside Baptist Church, a University of FL Research Scientist, a member of downtown Kiwanis of Fort Pierce since 1952, serving as both President of the club and Lt. Gov. of Kiwanis for Area District, was the first St. Lucie County Children’s Advocate of the year.Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Sue Hayslip of Jensen Beach, Fl; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Karen Hayslip of Canton, Ga, daughter and son-in-law, Betty & Carl Warnock of Fort Pierce, daughter, Helen Galczenski of Wayne, PA, daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Bruce Hopper, of Fort Pierce, FL, sister, Lela Thorlakson of Inverness, FL, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane E. Hayslip.
