Norman D. Tufts, 88, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away at his home on May 29, 2022.
Norman was born in Rochester New Hampshire to Orrie and Iris (Shepard) Tufts. He married his beloved Elsie in 1955 in Idaho Springs, Co.
Sgt First Class Tufts, known by friends as Sarge, served proudly and with honor in the United States Army for 20 years. While serving in the Infantry, he did glacier training, and skiing instruction. He also started the Mountain Climbing Training Program for the ROTC program at the University of New Hampshire. He also worked for General Electric for 20 years. He was a dedicated member of the Shriner’s Organization, the Mason’s, and the VFW.
Norman was a loving family man. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting and working in his garden.
Survivors include his beloved Elsie; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Marilyn Tufts; son, Daniel Tufts; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Richard Adams; daughter and son-in-law, Penny and John Morin; as well as 12 beautiful grandchildren and 8 amazing great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sons, Raymond and Kenneth Tufts, and daughter-in-law, Mary Tufts.

A visitation will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 12PM to 2PM with a service at 2PM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, Florida.
