Opal M. Van Duyn, 86, died August 14, 2010, in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Opal was born in Kewanee, Illinois, and was a resident of Port St. Lucie, FL for the past 3 ½ years, coming from Lakeland, Florida.
She enjoyed playing Yahtzee and Bingo and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her sons, Charles (Karen) Van Duyn of Brooksville, FL and Alex (Lonni) Van Duyn of Lakeland, FL; daughter, Sheila (John – caretaker) Fote of Port St. Lucie, FL, 10 grandchildren: Tammy Rutherford, Cindy Williams, Tracie Robinson, Raymond Earl Van Duyn, Melissa Sangster, Travis R. Wilson, Adam Van Duyn, Lydia Van Duyn, Cathy Preast and Carl Van Duyn; 2 step-grandchildren: Myra B. Hall and Sharon Wilson; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Van Duyn, Sr., son, Raymond E. Van Duyn, Jr. and grandson, Charles Van Duyn, Jr.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 21st from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A Service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM in the Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 23, 2010 in Lakeland at 1:30 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
