Orville C. Stevens, 75, died June 20, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach.
Mr. Stevens was born in Winchester, Tennessee and had been a resident of Ft. Pierce since 1974.
He was a Regional Sales Manager and the owner of Stevens Transport Company. He was an Army Veteran having served in the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Lennis, son, Wayne, sisters, Burndine and Shelby and brothers, Alton, Carl T., and Horace.
He is survived by his wife, Helen of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter, Corinne Stevens of Port St. Lucie, FL; son, Rocky (Susan) Stevens of Tampa, FL; stepdaughter, Despina (Matthew) Hopkins of Valencia, CA; stepsons, Gust (Bernadine) Russakis of New Port Richey, FL and Christ (Cyndi) of Ft. Pierce, FL; sisters, Gladys Rankin and Shirley (Bobby) Sanders; brothers, Ongel, Varnell (Doris), Dathard (Inez), Vernon (Sybil), and Irlen (Annell); 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services: A service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery with full military honors.
