Orville Wayne Day, 69, died November 15, 2009 in Ft. Pierce, FL.
Mr. Day was born in Harlan County, Kentucky and moved to Ft. Pierce in 2001 coming from Okeechobee.
He graduated from Eastern Kentucky State University and taught High School for 30 years in Okeechobee. He was a great outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Mary L. Day, of Ft. Pierce, FL; and brother, Marvin Day, of Ft. Pierce, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville E. Day and Edna Sargent Day and brother, Jerry Day.
Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.
Services: A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 1-2:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at Riverview Memorial Park.
