Mr. Owen Hazellief, at 106 years of age, went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myra, and a daughter, Mona Lee.
Also by brothers, Amos, Alfred, Ingram, Henry “Son”, Wilson, Leslie, and Quillie, and sister, Myrtle. He is survived by daughters Crystal Giovanetti, of Greenville, SC and Marsha Garmon, of Atlanta, GA, 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hazellief was born in Bluefield, FL and after marriage, made his home in Ft. Pierce, where he had a lifelong career in the citrus business. His true life’s dedication was to Christ, his family and his church, having served as Clerk for over 35 years with the Church of God, and was a charter member of the Oleander Avenue Church of God.
Services: A Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A Service will be held Saturday June 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Haisley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
