Pamela Courtright Sampson

April 2, 1949 — February 2, 2025

Fort Pierce, Florida

Pamela (Pam) Courtright Sampson, aged 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 2, 2025, at Lawnwood Regional Hospital in Fort Pierce, Florida. Pam was born on April 2, 1949, in Jackson Heights, New York, as the daughter of the late Richard T. Courtright, Sr. and Barbara Courtright (Nye).

Pam pursued higher education at Temple University and Rider University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. She initially taught elementary school at Port Colden Elementary School in Washington, New Jersey. Her subsequent relocations to Michigan and Florida led to changes in her teaching career. Once her children began school, she resumed her profession at KinderCare, where she enjoyed working with pre-school children and retired after thirty years of dedicated service.

Pam was a dedicated reader, possessing an extensive collection of books for her literary choices. She encouraged her children and grandchildren to develop their reading skills, knowing it was both an essential ability and an enjoyable pastime. A talented seamstress, Pam crafted Halloween costumes and special attire for her children and grandchildren, happily fulfilling their requests. As an avid animal lover, particularly of dogs, Pam cherished the companionship of several beloved pets throughout her life.

Pam's joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. Known for her kindness and caring nature, she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Pam is survived by her two daughters, Kim Albritton (Jason) and Meredith Danner (Justin), and her son, Kenny Sampson (Laura). She is also survived by her sister, Janice Courtright (Diane), and brother, Ted Courtright (Peggy). Additionally, she leaves behind seven grandchildren: Gabriella and Annabelle Albritton, Lukas, Greyson, and Madalyn Danner, and Adeline Sampson, as well as nieces Jennifer Siegfried, Kristen Roberts, Jennifer Colwell and Cara Sampson and nephews John Durner, Richard T. Courtright III, and Kevin Sampson II.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date for those who have known and loved her.
