Patricia Ann VanDuzer died Sunday, August 17, 2014, at Treasure Coast Hospice. Born in Cornwall, New York, November 23, 1936, the only daughter of Florence and Alfred Gledura, she relocated to Port St. Lucie in 1972 with her two greatest accomplishments, her daughter Jill Fisher and son, Scott VanDuzer. She worked in the travel industry, but her greatest joy was helping with her son’s business, Big Apple Pizza, where she was known and loved as everyone’s “Momma.”
Patricia is survived by her son, Scott (Dawn) Van Duzer, her daughter, Jill Fisher, and her grandchildren, Scott, Jordan, Sarah (Andrew), and Joseph. She is predeceased by her parents and her beloved granddaughter, Catherine (Katie) Sears, who died in June, 2000.
A generous mother, colleague and friend, Patricia taught her children the importance of helping others in need.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Patricia “Momma” VanDuzer can be made to the VanDuzer Foundation.
