On Wednesday April 14, 2021 Patrick La Monte Burns, age 51, returned home to Heavenly Father.
Pat was born on February 22, 1970 in Carmichael, California to August LaMonte Burns and Regina Mae York. He married Jacqueline “Jackie” Paredes on July 8, 2013.
Pat grew up in Oregon and later relocated to Florida where he met Jackie. From an early age, he learned to work hard, to be wise with earning and saving money. He was very generous and never hesitated to help someone in need.
Pat was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served as a Scout Master multiple times and lived by the motto to “be prepared” for life.
Pat loved hunting, fishing, scuba diving, gardening, and nature. Life with him was an adventure. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors in his home state of Oregon. Exploring his favorite places - mountains, jungles, and oceans - was where Pat felt most at home. One of his favorite hobbies was searching the Florida oceans for treasures to add to his fish tanks.
His passion for construction kept him constantly learning how to build, fix, or create amazing projects. Pat’s curiosity and self-driven personality helped him accomplish anything he set his mind to. He was very talented at creating beautiful art out of the things he found in nature, including wood, obsidian, stones, and much more. He had a gift to transform almost anything into a piece of art.
Pat is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Burns; his children: Dylan Burns, Daltyn Burns, Jaron Gonzalez, and Anahi Gonzalez; his siblings: Lori Davis, Rob Burns, and Joeie Jennifer Hamilton; his stepfather, Roy Nederbrock; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
