Paul Baltazar Serra, son of the late Carlo and Concetta Serra, passed away at the age of 85 in Ft. Pierce, FL. Paul was born in New York City on May 29, 1938.

Paul attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, followed by Montclair State College where he received his Master of Arts degree. He dedicated over 25 years to teaching at Suffern Junior High School, retiring in 1993. Paul married Linda J. Burger on May 26, 2007, and was a respected member of the Masonic Lodge of New York.

Paul had a deep passion for teaching and was instrumental in creating the Core Program for the school. His impact on his students was profound, as evidenced by the many letters he received, expressing how he had positively changed their lives.

Paul is survived by the love of his life and best friend, Linda J. Serra of Port St. Lucie, FL; his children, Tammy (Tom) Taylor of Goshen, NY, Stephanie (Jim) Mulhare of Milford, PA, Heather (Charles) Ford of Suffern, NY; step-children, Frankie (Shelly) Bastek of Draper, UT, Terri (Chris) DeBeauvernet of Westtown, NY, and Tammy (Tom) Mydosh of Lexington, NC. He will be greatly missed by his sister, Barbara Serra. Paul’s memory will be cherished by his beloved grandchildren, Sarah, Amanda, Ben, Kaitlyn, Charles, Cameron, Tyler, Grace, Nikolas, Brandon, Alexis, and several great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers, Ernie, George, Bill, Tommy, Charles, and Teddy.
