Peter James Cullen

March 29, 1940 — April 20, 2017

Peter “Pete” Cullen, 77, passed away April 20, 2017 in Stuart, Florida.

Mr. Cullen moved to Port Saint Lucie, Florida in 2002 coming from Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

Pete was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed building and flying radio controlled airplanes. Pete was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy; serving on the USS Monticello from December 31, 1957 to March 28, 1961. He was a tractor trailer driver; working most recently for CTL Trucking in Dalton before his retirement in 2002.

Survivors include wife of 40 years; Becky John-Cullen of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; son, Curtis Cullen of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; daughter, Carrie (John) Hitt of Scituate, Massachusetts; granddaughters, Sophia, Jeanette and Genevieve Hitt, all of Scituate, Massachusetts.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 4PM-6PM at Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port Saint Lucie, Florida 34984 with a service starting at 6PM. A graveside service will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery in Pittsfield, Massachusetts with Military Honors on May 13, 2017 at 10:30AM a reception will follow.
