Peter Chapin Thurston, 78, died November 12, 2023 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Thurston was born in Windsor, Vermont and moved to Fort Pierce, Florida in 1973.

Peter was an electrician and welder.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of IBEW for 38 years. Peter enjoyed woodworking, fishing, riding his Harley, and coin & stamp collecting. 

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Aleta G. Thurston of Fort Pierce, FL; sons, Mark E. Thurston of Ludlow, VT and Grant S. (Colleen)  Thurston of Fort Pierce, FL; daughter, Valerie J. (Thomas) Davis of Fort Pierce, FL; grandchildren, Finn Thurston, Emilie & Noah Thurston, Brooke Davis & Taylor Davis; brother, Kendall (Karen) Thurston of Alachua, FL; sisters, Louise Brewer of Gresham, OR and Aleta Bryant Boutin of Bennington, VT.

Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 5000 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
