Mr. Hopkins was born in Cambridge, Maryland and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1971 coming from Sacramento, CA.He was the founder and Pastor of the Church of the Living Word for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Evelyn Hopkins of Vero Beach, FL; daughter, Kimberly Willis of Ft. Pierce, FL; sons, Bobby L. and Rodney P. Hopkins both of Ft. Pierce, FL; brother, Wallace L. Hopkins of Sacramento, CA; granddaughters, Justina Hopkins of Ft. Pierce, FL, Stephanie Hopkins of Vero Beach, FL, Tiffany, Trenity, and Tareena Blanton, Alexandra and Taylor Cowgil all of Ft. Pierce, FL; grandsons, Hugo Sancheze of Ft. Pierce, FL, Bobby, Amos, Christopher, Rhett, and Dillon Hopkins all of Ft. Pierce, FL; and five great-grandchildren.
