Phyllis “Earline” Miller, 78, died April 28, 2014 in Melbourne, Florida.
She attended Fort Pierce High School where she met and then married Thomas A. Miller and they were married for 61 years. For 20 years they moved around with the Navy and she worked at various civil service jobs. She was a purchasing and procurement agent and won awards for that while stationed in California. After Thomas’ retirement from the Navy they moved to Inglis, Florida and she worked for the I.R.S. as an auditor before retiring. They then moved to Dunnellon, Florida where they lived until last year prior to moving to Melbourne to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the National Treasury Employees Union. She loved the ocean, spending time with family and friends, canoeing, and bowling.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas A. Miller of Melbourne, FL; daughters, Cynthia Miller Johnston of Melbourne, FL and Vickie Jo Miller of Melbourne, FL; son, Thomas D. Miller of Cocoa Beach, FL; sisters, Joann Crosby of Fort Pierce, FL and Linda Babilius of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Stephen Johnston, Whitney O’Keefe, Miranda Bennett, Thomas Bennett, Shane Locuson, Thomas James Miller, Lita Locuson, and Jessica Miller; great-grandchildren, Hailey O’Keefe, Seth Tauscher, Adrianna O’Keefe, Makayla O’Keefe and Hayley O’Keefe. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Wall and Richard “Dickie” Wall, and sister, Tolene Wall.
