Phyllis Reschak McEnry, 56, died November 3, 2019 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. McEnry was a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce, Florida.
Phyllis worked for Publix for 24 years and was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Fort Pierce. She was always a dedicated team player giving 100% of herself even when she was recovering from cancer treatments. She loved anything to do with the ocean, she found it as her escape and sanctuary. She was a true nature lover, enjoying being outside and bird watching, and was also a penny slot expert.
Phyllis was a loving sister, mother and aunt who refused to give up. She battled cancer for over seven years and fought tirelessly until her final death. She carried herself with dignity and strength never allowing anyone see her pain or hurt. Phyllis touched so many lives during her cancer journey from her coworkers at Publix to the other sarcoma warriors fighting the same horrible disease. The Moffitt Cancer Center team looked forward to seeing her smiling face and positive attitude throughout her cancer journey. She routinely impressed her medical team with her resilience and her uncanny ability to never give up. Quitting was never an option and I believe her love of life and her family is what kept her going. She truly loved her family, especially her children, and was the glue that held them together and she will surely be missed.
Survivors include her daughter, Lauren McEnry; son, Anthony McEnry; mother, Rose Reschak; sisters, Linda Loy, Geralyn Windle; brothers, Thomas Reschsak, Jr., Steven Reschak, Michael Reschak, and Jeffrey Reschak. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Reschak.
