IN LOVING MEMORY OF PONCHO
October 23, 2017 - February 7, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that LeeAnne and I announce the passing of our cherished Poncho. Poncho was not just a dog, he was our family member, a trusted companion, confidant, and friend who had a remarkable gift for serving grieving families.
Poncho had a special place in his heart for his time spent at Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service, where he accompanied his mom to work several days a week, beginning his career at nine weeks old. Poncho loved his work family and would wait at the back of mom’s car each morning, eager to get to the office and receive treats from everyone as he greeted their arrival to work. Poncho’s gentle spirit and unwavering devotion helped comfort grieving families, offering a quiet presence that provided solace during some of their most difficult moments. Whether it was sitting by their side, offering a paw of comfort, or simply resting peacefully in the background, Poncho had an uncanny ability to bring peace to those in need. LeeAnne and I are so grateful that Ponchos work family came by the ranch this morning to say their goodbyes.
Poncho was beloved by all who knew him, and his presence will be sorely missed by the families he helped, as well as by those who loved him most.
Poncho’s legacy of love, compassion, and loyalty will live on in the countless memories he created with us and the families he served. Rest in peace, Poncho. You blessed us by being the best “Murfect” boy, and you will never be forgotten.
*** Two very odd facts:
1- Ponchos namesake Charlie “Poncho” Scavuzzo passed at 49, Poncho’s age in dog years.
2- Ponchos time of death 1:27pm. My new radio ID number is 127.
Memorial service information to be announced at a later date.
