Preston C. Kurth, 62, died October 26, 2011 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Kurth was born in Mineola, Long Island, New York and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1984 coming from Suffern, New York.

Preston was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was best known for operating Norris Famous Place for Ribs for a number of years. He was a sponsor and very involved participant with the Exchange Club, for the prevention of child abuse. He was a member of Gator Trace Country Club and member of the BPOE #1520, Ft. Pierce. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle S. Kurth of Ft. Pierce, FL; son & daughter-in-law, Joshua R. and Dyan Kurth of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter & son-in-law, Nicole K. and William Talley of Ft. Pierce, FL; brother, Thomas Kurth of Foxboro, MA; sister, Dr. Susan King of Rockport, MA; grandchildren, Preston A. Talley, Evan R. Kurth and Alyvia Kurth.

Memorial contributions may be made to the A.L.S. Association, 3842 Parkside Circle, Tampa, FL 33619 or to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 5000 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981.

Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 9-10 AM with a service to follow at 10:00 AM at Haisley Funeral Home.
