Priscilla Clancy
Priscilla Diane (Taibl) Clancy was born in Bayshore, New York on Long Island. Priscilla was preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Taibl and her parents, George & Claire Taibl.
She is survived by her husband, Larry and stepchildren, Timothy, Daniel (Jessica) and Jenny. She was the proud “Oma” (grandmother) to Noah, Ardan, Lawson and Ayla. Priscilla moved to Stuart at the age of 5 and attended Martin County Schools and St. Anastasia Catholic High School in Fort Pierce. She graduated from Barry University with a degree in marketing. Priscilla worked in the banking industry for 35 years with half of those years being with Community Savings Bank as a loan officer. After banking she returned to college to earn her teacher certification and taught sixth grade for a few years in St. Lucie County Schools before retiring at the age of 62.
Priscilla was a strong animal supporter, having served as President of the Humane Society in both Martin and St. Lucie Counties. She also served the community as President of the Lyric Theatre Board during the time the theatre was renovated to its present beauty. Priscilla was an avid participant in the Chili Cookoff for many years as a member of the Community Savings Bank team raising money for the prevention of child abuse.
Priscilla enjoyed her retirement, living in the Gator Trace Golf Community, making friends with her warm smile and friendly personality.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Lucie County Humane Society.
