Rachael Marie Thomas, 84, died January 31, 2011, in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Rachael was born in Jacksonville, Florida, and was a resident of Port St. Lucie since 1987, coming from Vero Beach, FL.
She was a retired Elementary School teacher and Guidance Counselor in Palm Beach County, a graduate of Wellesley College, received her Masters from Florida Atlantic, taught in the State Prison System, was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and Daughters of the King, Stephen Ministries, Cursillo, volunteered in Prison Ministry of Indian River Correctional, was a volunteer tutor in Learn to Read and Bible Way Soul Saving Station.
Survivors include her husband, William Gwyn Thomas, Jr. of Port St. Lucie, FL; sons, W. Ross Thomas of Brooklyn, NY, Thomas G. Thomas of Tallahassee, FL, Neil J. Thomas of Downing Town, PA and David R. Thomas of West Palm Beach, FL; daughters Ann M. Thomas of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Mary Thomas of Fort Pierce, FL; sister, Connie J. Bell of Louisville, KY, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a grandson.

There will be a Memorial Service on Sunday, February 6, 2011, at 2:00 PM at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
