Rachel Lea Eaton (Carter)

Rachel Lea Eaton (Carter) passed away unexpectedly at the age of 48 on April 5, 2024 in Port St. Lucie, Florida. She was born on November 21, 1975 to Jack and Janas Carter in Salem, Indiana.

Rachel is survived by her husband, Johnathan, son Slade, mother Janas, sisters Annette and Esther, along with their families. She left behind two dogs, Barnabus and Bentley who were her constant companions. She is predeceased by her father, Jack Carter and sister Debbie.

She graduated from Salem High School in 1994. Rachel married the love of her life, Johnathan Eaton, on March 4, 1995. Her proudest accomplishment was having her son, Slade. He completed their family. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed going in the ministry. Rachel loved cooking and always said it was her love language. She loved designing, building, and decorating custom homes with her husband. She also loved travel and fashion. She had a knack for making friends easily and exceeded in hospitality.
