Ray Kesler, 84, died July 11, 2009, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Ray was born in Marshall, Illinois, and was a resident of Fort Pierce since 1969, coming from Illinois.
He was a retired Building Inspector for St. Lucie County and an active member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ray’s memory to the Lymphoma Research Foundation, 115 Broadway, 13th Floor, New York, New York 10006.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ila Alford Kesler of Fort Pierce, FL; daughters, Ila Rae Merten of Jacksonville, FL and Sandy Kesler of Fort Pierce, FL; sister, Ruby Cook of Marshall, IL; brothers, Jason Kesler of Louisville, KY and Andrew Kesler of Sebeka, MN; and 3 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 16th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, with a Wake Service at 6:00 PM at the Haisley Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church on Friday, July 17th at 10:00 AM followed by burial at Riverview Memorial Park.
