Raymond S. Powell, 90, died January 14, 2009 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Powell was born in Bridgeton, New Jersey and moved to Ft. Pierce 30 years ago from South Florida.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army earning a Silver Star Medal and Purple Heart Victory Medal. He golfed and bowled every week and loved his family and friends dearly.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Doris Powell of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter, Nancy (Denny) Farmer of Woodstock, GA; son, Edward Powell of Tamarac, FL; stepson, David (Judy) Higgins of South Lake Tahoe, CA; brother, John Powell of Palm Bay, FL; grandchildren, Debbie Choyce, Todd Allen, Shelli Pierson, Heather Welage, Kevin, Michael, and Tom Higgins; and several great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospices, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.
