Raymond R. Wilson, 88, died July 5, 2012, at St. Lucie Medical Center, Port St. Lucie.
He was born in Shirley, Massachusetts and was a longtime resident of Fort Pierce, moving here from New York in 1973.
He was of the Catholic Faith. During World War II, he served in the Marines from 1942-1946. He was 100% disabled Veteran who was extremely proud of his service to his country. During his lifetime he owned and operated several businesses: Fort Pierce Saw Sharpening Business, J & S Auto, Senior Citizens Lawn Services, J & S Towing, Twin Star Security Services, he was also a court appointed process servicer for St. Lucie County, Florida. He was one of the first persons to become a part of the Citizens Community Patrol Services for St. Lucie County, Florida.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Eileen Wilson of Fort Pierce, Sons, James Parsons and his wife, Nora Parsons of Fort Pierce and Wayne Parsons and his wife Debbie Parsons of Georgetown, Kentucky, Daughter, Cindy Lou Wilhoite of Fort Pierce, Granddaughters, Jennifer Leigh Wilhoite-Chancey of Fort Pierce, Ashley Parsons of Georgetown, Kentucky, Melody Boyce of Anchorage, Alaska, Eight Great-Grandchildren, Seth Hudson Paley, Matthew Connor Paley, Alexzander Xavier Paley, MaKaeLeigh Lynn Chancey, Nathaniel Liam Chancey of Fort Pierce, Avery Christopher Parsons of Georgetown, Kentucky, Caelyn Autumn Boyce and Hunter Gavin Boyce of Anchorage, Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Stephanie Lynn Wilhoite and his daughter, Sandra Wilson Brown.
