Rev. Kenneth R. York, 79, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away on November 19, 2018 at St. Lucie Medical Center after an extended illness. His family was at his side.

He was born on April 12, 1939 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Truman Lewis and Verta (Dobbs) York.

He grew up in New Castle, attended N.C. High School and Indian River College in Fort Pierce, FL. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran.

He operated a Roofing and Painting business in the Fort Pierce area for many years. He also retired from the St. Lucie Nuclear Plant.

He was Pastor and Founder of Sound the Alarm Outreach Ministries. He had a presentation of the Book of Revelations he showed in many churches. He loved going on mission trips.

He was a devoted husband and father. He loved family gatherings, golfing, fishing and riding his bike.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Julia Bernice (Shelton) York; 1 daughter, Tina (Rick) Macklem of Fort Pierce, FL; 2 sons, Kenneth (Acha) York, Jr. of Port St. Lucie, FL and Jimmy York of Vero Beach, FL; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Carol (Pete) Freeman of Warsaw, IN; sister-in-law, Pat York of Etna Green, IN; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Ron York.

A Celebration of His Life will be held at a later date.
