Rev. Theodore R. "Ted" Rice

Rev. Theodore R. “Ted” Rice, 81, died December 3, 2021 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Rev. Theodore Rice was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to St. Lucie County 23 years ago coming from Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Rev. Ted was a pastor at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church since 1989. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marines Corps., past president of the Fort Pierce Rotary Club, past Dean of the Space Coast Conference of the E.L.C.A., Board of Directors for the Better Way of Christ Ministries, St. Lucie County Alzheimer’s Advisory Board, and past president of the Kappa Epsilon Alpha Omega.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon W. Rice of Port St. Lucie, FL; son, John Ross Rice of Temple Terrace, FL; stepdaughter, Wendy Lea Murphy of Lake Worth, FL; step-grandchildren, Carter James & Jesse Alexander Hall and Robert S. Murph of Lake Worth, FL. He was preceded by his sister, Sandy Long.

Services: A visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 PM with a service to follow at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2900 S. Jenkins Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Ocala, Florida.
