Rev. Charles E. Morton, 88, died June 20, 2013 in Vero Beach, Florida.

Rev. Morton was born in Charleston, West Virginia and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1975.

He was a retired Pastor of the Church of the Nazarene for 33 years and was a Pastor for 4 different churches in Florida and 2 churches in West Virginia. He worked for 24 years as a truck driver with Smith Transfer. He was also a dedicated associate for Haisley Funeral Home for over 30 years and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Morton of Ft. Pierce, FL; sons, Eddie (Carol) Morton of Garden Dale, AL, Terry (Jan) Morton of Seffner, FL and Gregory (Brenda) Morton of Pensacola, FL; daughters, Tonya (Bill) Turner of Sebring, FL, Kaye Morton of Charleston, WV, and Treva (Ted) McClure of Vero Beach, FL; step-daughter, Bonnie (Mark) Mallow of Ft. Pierce, FL; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Emma Jean Watts of Kenova, WV. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda A. Morton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 12-2 PM with a service to follow at 2:00 PM at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1280 27th Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32960. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
