Richard C. Ridgway

“Dick”, “Ridgie”, Ridgway, 77, loving son, husband, father, “Papa”, brother and friend passed away on March 1, 2009.
He was born in LaRue, OH and graduated from LaRue High School. He attended the Cleveland Institute of Art and graduated from the Art Academy of Cincinnati. A gifted illustrator and creative director, he worked in advertising for more than 50 years including his own studio, RCR Advertising. A long-time resident of Ft. Pierce, FL, he relocated from Mansfield, OH in 1977. He was active in the Surfside Beach Association for many years.
His memory and compassionate spirit live on with his wife and soul mate of 58 years, Elaine Ridgway; daughters Pamela Lee, of West Bloomfield, MI; Stephanie Wickett of Ft. Pierce, FL; and, Tricia Kapustka (Steve) of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren Hether Fedullo (Joe) of Davisburg, MI; Jennifer Payamps (Akirsy) of Orlando, FL; Chris Wickett (Stacey) of Ft. Pierce, FL; Natalie Sims (Chris) of Gainesville, FL; and Steven Kapustka, Jr., of Jacksonville, FL; great-grandchildren, his “sweethearts,” Sydney Wickett, Isaac Wickett, Lilah Payamps, and Anniston Sims; big brother John Ridgway (Marion) of LaRue, OH; many extended family and friends, and his loyal canine companion, Kuto.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to the Am. Heart Assoc. or Am. Cancer Society Treasure Coast chapters.
