Richard F. Powers, Jr.

Richard F. Powers, Jr., 88, died July 17, 2006 in Hobe Sound, Florida.Mr. Powers was born in Watertown, Massachusetts and moved to Hobe Sound in 1991 coming from Long Island, New York.He received his high school degree from Boston Latin School and his bachelor’s degree from Boston College. He was a member of the Hobe Sound Country Club, Huntington Crescent Club, Huntington Country Club, The Creek Country Club and was a member of the Catholic faith.Survivors include his sons, Richard F. Powers III of Hobe Sound, FL, John J. Powers of Plandome, NY and Mark J. Powers, MD of Stuart, FL; daughters, Mary Ellen Miller and Susan A. Roche both of Cold Spring Harbor, NY; 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
