Richard was born in Huntington, West Virginia and was a resident of Fellsmere, Florida, before moving to Fort Pierce, FL.
He worked in the restaurant business and served in the US Navy during WWII.
Survivors include his nephew, Edward Bexfield of Palm Bay, FL; sisters, Geraldine Phillies of Point Pleasant, WV and Georgina Denney of Payson, AZ.
