Richard G. Vreeland, 83, died September 15, 2011 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Mr. Vreeland was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to the Treasure Coast 30 years ago.
Richard proudly served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed boating and racing cars. He taught himself how to fly and enjoyed flying and also was a self taught electronic engineer.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Carol Vreeland of Port St. Lucie, FL; sons, Richard, Jr. of Michigan, Kenneth of Stuart, FL and Kurt Vreeland of Michigan; daughters, Lisa Lamb of Marietta, GA and Laura Willis of Ft. Pierce, FL; brother, Thomas Vreeland of Michigan; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Diane Vreeland and Carol Ann Lawell.
