Richard Lee Griffith, 75, passed away July 17, 2017 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Richard retired to Port Saint Lucie, Florida in 2009 coming from Akron, Ohio.
Richard Lee Griffith was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, always giving of himself to everyone whose lives he touched. Rich played the drums and Blues harp for 10 years at church in Akron, Ohio, as well as, his church in Florida in 2011 and 12. He was also a Board Member of the Blues Alliance of the Treasure Coast for several years, as he was the 'Core' drummer for that organization. He retired from United Technologies, W.P.B., Pratt and Whitney Aircraft, and Akron Machining Institute, in Barberton Ohio (A.M.I.), where he taught Machine Shop set up and practices to students; THIS was his favorite and most rewarding job. Richard joined band members and played in Akron, Ohio, and Florida in his retirement. Rich was a devoted hard working member with every job, company, band, or Club organization he joined. His friends were friends for life.
Survivors include loving wife, Sandra Griffith of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; daughter, Lisa (David) McCune of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; son, Kenneth A. Griffith of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; grandchildren, Jeffery Phoenix, Danielle McCune, DJ McCune, Hayleigh McCune, Hannah McCune, and Summer Skye Griffith, as well as several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins in Akron, Ohio and Florida.

A gathering will take place on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 1PM to 2PM with a service to start at 2PM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port Saint Lucie, Florida 34984.
