Richard Landis, 76, died November 26, 2012 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Landis was born in Charleston, West Virginia and moved to Ft. Pierce 35 years ago coming from Hollywood, Florida.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was part owner of Atlantic Reporting and retired from St. Lucie County Tax Collectors Office. He was a member of the Covenant Reformed Presbyterian Church, delivered Thanksgiving meals with the Big Heart Brigade, and was past volunteer with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Ruth Matula Landis of Ft. Pierce, FL; stepdaughters, Kimberly (John) Knapp and Elizabeth Logan (Steve) Burns both of Ft. Pierce, FL; step-sons, James Matula of Ft. Pierce, FL and Billy Matula of Tennessee; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Landis.
