Richard E. “Rich” Maroney, 59, died April 1, 2014 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Maroney was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and moved to Fort Pierce 5 years ago coming from Davie, Florida.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army working as a medical specialist. He worked for Goodwill Industries and was assistant supervisor at the I-95 rest area. He loved to fish, loved animals and watching movies, especially military movies.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Linda Maroney of Fort Pierce, FL; sons, Ricky Maroney and Phillip Maroney both of New Jersey; sisters, Marie Maroney of Connecticut, Nancy Gallino of New Jersey, and Christie Pellegrini of California; brother, Robert Maroney of New Jersey; and nephew, Tyler S. Maroney of Fort Pierce, FL. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Richard Earl and Philomena Maroney, and his brothers, Vincent and Thomas Maroney.
