Allen Miller, 68, of Fort Pierce, Florida passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014. He was born in Los Angeles, California, on October 18, 1945, to the late Marion Miller of Chanute, Kansas. Following graduation from high school, he joined the service and became a first lieutenant in the Army, serving in Vietnam. Upon returning home from the service,
Allen received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Baker University in 1973. He worked in the field of finance first as a stock broker, then as a Merrill Lynch Manager and ultimately as a Certified Financial Planner.

Allen became a beloved member of the Fort Pierce community and could frequently be found in leadership roles at the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Leadership St. Lucie, the St. Lucie County and State of Florida Library Boards and Council on Aging. Allen was a pillar of the Republican community, holding offices on local and state levels including State Committeeman in St. Lucie County and Assistant Treasurer of the Republican Party of Florida.

Allen is survived by his wife of 42 years, Judi Miller; his son Chris; his daughter-in-law, Colleen; two grandchildren, Jake and Sydney; and “adopted son” Anthony Bonna.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of St Lucie, Indian River, & Okeechobee Counties in honor of Anthony or Council on Aging of St. Lucie County.
