Richard "Rich" Ohrt Jr

Richard “Rich” Ohrt, Jr passed away on October 14th, 2021 at his home in Port St. Lucie, FL. Rich was born on March 5th, 1967 in Rock Island, IL to Richard Ohrt, Sr and Ann Roy.
After graduating from Saint John High School, he spent 15 years in the United States Army. He was also a Class A lineman for 20 years.
Rich was a very dedicated, loving family man who put everyone in front of himself. He will be remembered as a generous husband, father, and friend to his fellow workers. He loved riding his Harley Police edition and sight-seeing whenever he could.
Survivors include; Wife, Diana Ohrt; Mother, Ann Roy; Sister, Jocelynne Piccolo; Son, Christopher Ohrt, Daughters, Alexandra (Chrissy) Palesh and Jade Ohrt; Stepchildren, Danielle Hogan, Cody McCleary, and Dominique Joyner; Grandchildren, Jason Ohrt, Lilith Palesh and Matrim Palesh; Step-grandchildren, Ayden McCleary, Emily Hogan and Isabella Joyner; Aunt Lindsey Roy, as well as many other family members.
In lieu of flowers, friends may donate to the St. Labre Indian School or another charity of their choice in honor of Rich’s generous nature.
Rich was an amazing person, very kindhearted and will be deeply missed. We celebrate his life and passing knowing he is with our Heavenly Father. Fly high Papa Bear and ride hard, we love you
