Richard P. Srogi, 76, died on August 25, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, Florida.
Mr. Srogi was born in New Britain, CT and resided in New Britain for many years before relocating to Florida and was employed in the tile-setting profession.
Richard was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church. He had a great love for music all his life and was a talented musician, playing saxophone professionally with many groups in CT and FL, known as “Richie Allen”. He also enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanine (Rioux) Srogi of Ft. Pierce, FL; brother, Jerome Srogi, Jr. of Old Lyme; stepdaughter, Terry Vauiso and step-sons, Michael and Tim Guyette all of CA; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncle, and many cousins in the CT area.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice House, 901 37th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Services: A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Anastasia Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
