Richard Tickner

Richard, (Dick--as most referred to him), was a man of God who had the patience of a saint. He loved music and NPR radio. At any moment, you can go into either his workshop or his office and hear an old fashioned radio tuned in to NPR talk radio. His office held his many music instruments. He enjoyed playing often.

Dick was quick witted with professor-like responses! His green thumb, along with his ability to nurture plants, helped him create magical gardens, complete with gnomes!

Dick was a tinkerer who enjoyed alone time in his workshop, office/music room, or garden shed. He was a talented woodworker and made gifts for friends and family. Dick and his friends would often make things for trade and proudly displayed each others’ masterpieces.

Dick was devoted to his wife of 39 years, Mary Louise; he lived to make her happy. Together, they raised and adopted their grandson, Shawn, and is survived by three children total: Susan Roegiers, (Rick Roegiers), Steve Tickner, (Jerri McClellan Tickner), and Shawn Tickner, ASAF. Dick is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and two great-great grandsons.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Jaycee Park in Vero Beach, FL.
