Richard Willis Donelly, 85, died January 4, 2008 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.Mr. Donelly was born in Jamestown, Rhode Island and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1980 coming from New Port, Rhode Island.
He has retired from Underwater Systems Center, Newport, Rhode Island and Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserves. He served in 2 wars, WWII and the Korean Conflict.Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Rosalie S. Donelly of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter, Susan B. Sanches of Portsmouth, RI; son, Richard F. Donelly of Providence, RI; sister, Phyllis C. Allan of Vero Beach, FL; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert C. Donelly.Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospices, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.
