Richie M. Garmize, 80, died October 1, 2013 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Garmize was born in New York City, New York and moved to Port St. Lucie in 2002 coming from Boynton Beach, Florida.
He served in the United States Air Force for six years in Korea, Germany, and France. He retired after 32 years of service with the United States Coast Guard as Captain. He was a member of the American Legion, D.A.V., Masonic Lodge, and Shriner’s Club. He enjoyed model trains and buses and donated his time to the D.A.V.
Survivors include his wife of 8 years, Anna Garmize of Port St. Lucie, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.
