Rita Anna Wendt, 90, died June 28, 2009 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. Wendt was born in Roxbury, Massachusetts and retired to Florida from Ipswich, Massachusetts moving to Ft. Pierce in 1988.
She was a member of St. Mark’s Council of Catholic Women and volunteered at the church’s thrift store.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Francoeur Meeks of Ft. Pierce, FL; son, Willard F. Wendt of Port St. Lucie, FL; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Wendt and son, Richard Wendt.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 1924 Zephyr Avenue, Fort Pierce, FL 34982.
Services: Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2009 from 5-7 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
