Rita Helen Cummings, 84, passed away on September 23, 2022 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
She was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey in 1938.
She is predeceased by her husband of 48 years Eugene Fortin, his son George Fortin and her siblings, Margo, Richard and Casey. She is survived by her sister Mary and her husband Frank Gladysz and many loving nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her step-children Jeanne Case, Joyce Fortin, Chris McGurk, EJ Fortin and many grand step-children, as well as many loving friends she and Gene made during their time in Ft Pierce.
Rita was an RN and graduate of St Joseph's Nursing School in Patterson, New Jersey and worked for many years at Mass General Hospital, as well as providing exceptional nursing care to many in the Burlington MA area and Fort Pierce FL area as a Visiting Nurse. She enjoyed golfing and was an avid MahJong player.
A very loving and caring person who would jump to provide any help when needed, Rita will be forever missed by all who knew her.
